MEF Global Forum
The Mobile Ecosystem Forum (MEF) kicks off this series of events on Sunday, February 28th at 12:30 pm. Over Sunday and Monday they will take over the historical building Casa Llotja de Mar for MEF Global Forum, MEF Club, MEF Lounge and the Meffy Awards.
MEF Forum is a mixture of conferences, live streaming and networking. MEF Club is an exclusive business lounge open for members and their guests. On Sunday evening you can network at MEF Lounge on the stunning heated patio courtyard.
MEFFY Awards
Monday, February 27, at 18.30 hours, the red carpet will be rolled out again for the Meffy Awards. For the third year in a row Sam Media has been nominated for an award. In 2021 we won a Meffy Award in the category Richer Mobile Customer Engagement. This year we are shortlisted in the category Content & Advertising. Don’t forgot to vote for us! 8.1 Live
Mobile World Congress 2020 was cancelled due to the upcoming pandemic. However many companies in our industry – think MWC Hall 8.1 – were made of stronger stuff, and so unofficial MWC2020 was born. And it is here to stay. Three years later and still growing, 8.1 Live had to move to a bigger space and has settled at Col·legi d’Arquitectes de Catalunya (COAC).
There will be a Meet Market from 10.00 – 20.00 hours. You can find Sam Media at table 21, or “Go Premium” to access our VIP area where you’ll find complementary food & drinks, private terrace and meeting areas. Exclusive access for all 8.1 Premium Pass holders.

Mobile World Congress
Mobile Ecosystem Forum presents The Future Of Mobile Summit, February 28th, at MWC Barcelona, Hall 7 Theatre 4. Amongst other panels, The Future Of Subscriptions will be presented, where panelists will be discussing an introduction to super bundling with James Williams (MEF), Anil Malhotra (Bango), Jane Villeneuve (Optus Subhub) and our CEO Alexis Bartelds.
GSMA will be announcing the winners of the GLOMO Awards in a ceremony on Tuesday 28 February, 18:00 – 19:00 (CET), at the Industry City Stage in Hall 4. Sam Media’s product Holozonia made it to the shortlist in the brand new category Best Mobile Innovation for Web3.
